SYNOPSIS |
This workshop is designed for new PBL tutors/facilitators and those with limited experiences in PBL. It is also useful for those interested in active learning/student centered learning strategies in general. The first two hour session will have participants experience a PBL tutorial session after a short introduction on the theoretical aspects of PBL. The second session will be an interactive lecture on designing a PBL problem and crafting a problem scenario. |

Workshop Objectives |
1. Expose participants to the what, why and how of Problem Based Learning |
2. Engage participants in a simulated PBL tutorial session |
3. Engage participants in designing a PBL problem and crafting a PBL problem scenario which they can apply to their own courses |
