On Friday 7th December 2012, a free half day tour to Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) (833meters) has been organized for ICEED participants. Transport to “Bukit Bendera” and a return ticket for the Funicular train to the hilltop will be provided free to all ICEED participants. 

        Those interested to join this tour must register with the ICEED Secretariat latest by 10.30 a.m. on Wed 5^th December 2012.

      Please note that there are many activities offered on the hill top such as a canopy walk which is a suspension bridge hanging over tree tops , jungle tracking, owl museum, monkey cup gardens etc.  

        Other than a beautiful view of George Town, there is also an Indian temple and mosque that is nice to visit. The fauna of Penang hill is relatively undisturbed and you will be able to see small and medium sized mammals such as monkeys and squirrels on the hill top.

        Most of the activities are free, however, a number of these activities may charge entrance fee. For example the Ginger plant garden charges RM8 entrance fee. These entrance fees are not included in the tour.  There are food and beverages sold on the hilltop.

• 7.45 a.m.            : The Van/Bus will leave the Parkroyal Hotel
  

• 8.30 - 8.45 a.m.  : Arrival at Bukit Bendera

• 9.00 a.m.            : Train to the hill top

Free and Easy at the hill top. 

      The Van/Bus will pick up participants at 11.45 am at the bottom of the hill. Back at Hotel by 12.30- 12.45 pm. Those who want to stay longer will have to make their own arrangement back.
