ICEED 2026

Engineering Education for Industry 5.0: A Human-Centric Digital Future

We are proud to announce the 2026 IEEE 15th International Conference on Engineering Education (ICEED 2026), to be held in Kanazawa, Japan, on 25–26 November 2026. Hosted by the IEEE Malaysia Education Society and co-organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA’s Engineering and Technical Research Group (EnTER) together with Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT), this conference brings together educators, researchers, and industry innovators shaping the future of engineering education. ICEED 2026 is your platform to showcase impactful research, exchange bold ideas, and build collaborations that matter. Expect stimulating discussions, fresh insights, and a vibrant international network, because engineering education doesn’t evolve quietly; it moves through conversations like this.

Publication

The proceedings of ICEED 2026 may be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library once they meet the requirements for an IEEE quality review and may be indexed in Scopus.

Conference Mode

Physical and Virtual Presentation. The conference is being organized in a hybrid format, allowing international participants residing outside Japan to present virtually while also encouraging them to attend in person. Please note that a local presenter is required for a physical presentation.

Conference Dress Code

A quick note on our conference dress code for all presenters (physical and online):

Dress code: Business casual/formal/Batik/national formal wear.

Acceptable: Professional dresses, skirts (at or below the knee), pantsuits, blazers, and slacks. Sandals are acceptable for women as long as they are not flip-flops.

Unacceptable: Shorts, short skirts, flip-flops, beachwear, or any casual attire.

Virtual Presentation Mode (Video Preparation)

If you have opted to present virtually, please ensure that you prepare a video of your presentation. Failure to submit this video will result in the application of the IEEE No-Show Policy, which means that your paper will not be published.

Additionally, all virtual presenters must be available during the conference on the scheduled presentation day to participate in the Q&A session. The presentation schedule will be shared soon.

The format of the video is as follows: –

  1. Video Length: Please ensure that the video is no longer than 10 minutes.
  2. Video Format: You are free to use any method or medium for your presentation as long as it can be converted into a video and uploaded to YouTube. A simple option is to use PowerPoint and convert it into a video.
  3. Presentation Style: The style of your video is entirely up to your creativity. You may choose to:
    i) Record your presentation using audio with presentation slides.
ii) Or record yourself while giving the presentation.
  4. Video Link: Please upload your video to YouTube and ensure the link is public/unlisted. Once you have uploaded, please email the YouTube link to enter@uitm.edu.my by 30th October 2026.
